Jai Gurudevan, once an associate of ace filmmakers K. Balachandar and Sundar C is set to make his debut directorial with Kallooli Mangan.
Debutant Raj Varma has been roped in for the role of protagonist while search is on for another actor. Kannada actress Jaanvi will play opposite them in female lead. Jayasurya has a vital role to take on with.
The film hit the floors on September 2. Mayor M. Subramaniam launched the movie at the institution for Physically Challenged Children, Anna Nagar West, Chennai. Guests present in the occassion inlcudes Director SP Jananathan, Director Madhesh, Director Prabhu Solomon, Actor Ganja Karuppu , V.V. Kathir and others.
Followed by first schedule in Chennai, shooting will be carried through across various locales in Karaikudi, Theni, Pollachi and various places in Tanjore. The film is based on a real life incident centering around deep confusion at marriage ceremony. The entire situation turns down the lives of those involved into topsy-turvy situation and what unfolds next forms crux of the story.
Neelakandan has penned the story and director Jai Gurudevan has crafted screenplay and dialogues.
Patrick has scored music and Abdul Kalam has cranked camera . Sai Suresh is the editor while Siva will erect sets. Action Prakash is the stunt choreographer and Dheena is set to compose steps for the dance.
