Director Balakumaran, is a former assistant to Bhagyaraj, he is making a light, comic entertainer starring Sunaina and new boy Sachin. Sachin is a former ad guy with a sound engineering background in AR Rahman’s studio.
The music is scored by James Vasanthan who is totally confident that it is going to be a hat trick 100 day film after his Subramaniyapuram and Pasanga. “I could visualise the entire film when Balakumaran told me the story and I agreed immediately. I am very choosy about my films and I have rejected 11 scripts before saying yes to this one,” said James. Producer turned actor, Azhagan Tamizhmani plays Sunainas father in this father- daughter story. At a media interaction he said, “It’s like a family production to me. I agreed to the film immediately but I could not do it earlier since I was acting in Naan Kadavul”
The producers daughter Sanghvi is the production controller and said, “We have planned everything and done a complete team work. 80 percent of the film is over and thanks to the director who is meticulous and very patient.” Cinematography is by Mohammed Nasir who has done a few Telugu films. “I am a bit anxious about the songs since James has done such a wonderful job I feel that I have to do justice to the music in each frame,’ said Mohammed. “I am very lucky to get a producer like this, and added that “Its rare to get producers who invest money based on a story’s strength.”
Sunaina plays as Annam, a village girl,says: “I was completely absorbed by the character and fell in love with her. When she was depressed in one scene I was depressed throughout the day because I could feel what was going on in her life.” Sachin plays Anand and was injured and even fractured his leg but continued to work as if nothing had happened bringing him praises from all present.
The audio of the film was released recently. The event saw a huge film personalities. Producer Chozha Ponnurangam was seen interacting with the gathering, as he is back in action after a long gap.
